There is a lot of talk at E-MEDIAD. With each other – because brainstorming delivers the best ideas and keeps our creative and technical minds fit – and with our customers. Above all, we talk to our customers about their customers. Why? Because, of course, everyone thinks their own business model and products or services are great. But it comes down to figuring out how we communicate this to the end user, the customer, the visitor to websites and stores. Working out the best possible communication with your customers and a suitable web experience for the customer is a lot of fun for us.
You see often, you hear even more often. Two small letters that come across as quite innocent and funny, but in which there is so much! With us, we put everything on these two little letters. But what does UX actually stand for again? UX stands for User Experience. We personally like
User experience
as a translation the most. Because that’s exactly what it comes down to. How great our companies, products and services are must be shown by the experience we offer our customers. Together with you, we discuss questions during a project such as: What exactly is your customer looking for, how does he want to feel, what does he want to experience, what does he want to learn, what does he want to buy? And above all, how? Exciting questions, the answers to which and the implementation of which will provide your customer with the right UX.
There are many definitions of design. We took a look at Wikipedia: “In particular, design includes the designer’s examination of the function of an object and its interaction with the user. We like this, admittedly very reduced, definition of design. Why? Because here again it becomes quite clear that it is the user, the customer, that counts. It is not (only) about “what is beautiful” or “what is state-of-the-art” in terms of web design. It’s about what the customer expects, what the customer wants to experience. And about the right balance between technology, content and design, because no two target groups are alike.
With all the creativity and especially with the development of the appropriate UX, the technical component must of course not be neglected. For us, technology has the same importance as design. After all, what looks beautiful can quickly become annoying if it is not implemented flawlessly from a technical point of view. We’ve all been there: annoyed cancellations of a non-intuitive ordering process or annoying animations, when all you really want to do is quickly read some information. But isn’t there also a website that you love because everything is so intuitive and just always runs ‘smoothly’? Then you experience the right UX there and don’t even notice that everything is also optimized for the mobile reader. You don’t realize that databases, professional content management, newsletter, ERP, CRM, and payment systems are connected to give you this experience. That’s how we do it. You don’t have to see technology, but you do have to experience it. And that should be fun!
